SEAIR to offer daily flights to Bangkok in May 2012

South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR), the Philippines’ premier leisure airline, announced it will increase its Clark-Bangkok-Clark flights to seven times a week during May due to strong public demand. The airline will add Clark – Bangkok – Clark flights every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The route will also have daily flights on the Christmas/ New Year Season.

SEAIR is offering a special one-way fare of PHP 2400 until February 15, 2012 for travel until December 31, 2012. Passengers can log on to www.FlySeair.com and www.tigerairways.com to book seats.

The airline will also start flying Clark – Kota Kinabalu three times a weekly on May 1, and Clark – Kalibo twice a week twice on May 4. Seats are on sale now at a special fare of as low as PHP 899 one-way for Kota Kinabalu, and PHP 799 one-way for Kalibo until February 15, 2012 for travel on May 1 – November 30, 2012 for Kota Kinabalu, and May 4 – October 31, 2012 for Kalibo.

SEAIR recently announced it has launched CashPay, its payment facility for online booking transactions for international flights. CashPay allows Philippine-based customers to make a reservation online and complete the booking via cash payment at any of the eight SEAIR ticketing offices in Manila, Clark, Cebu and Davao. Passengers must make the payment within 24 hours of booking. Flights cannot be booked within 48 hours of departure.

From March to June, the Bangkok summer calendar is filled with traditional celebrations such as the Makha Bucha Buddhist full moon festival on March 7 when worshippers flock the temples for the wian tian candlelight procession, the Songkran or Thai New Year on April 13-15 which is usually celebrated with ‘water-throwing’ to symbolize purification, and Coronation Day on May 5 which honors the king of Thailand. Modern festivities include the Bangkok International Fashion Week slated for mid-March and La Fete music festival in June.

Kota Kinabalu is the capital city of Sabah, Malaysia. Top places of interest include Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park which is composed of five islands and only 10-20 minutes away via speedboat from the city and popular among tourists and locals alike for snorkelling, diving, and relaxation. Kota Kinabalu is a popular jump-off point to Borneo Island and Sabah, renowned for its lush forests and coral reefs. Travelers can opt for day trips to Likas Bird Sanctuary and The Green Connection, an aquarium focused on conservation of endangered species. The city is also home to Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in South East Asia.

Kalibo is a major gateway to Boracay Island, ranked ‘Number 4’ in the list of Top 10 Islands by Travel and Leisure Magazine. Boracay has lured travelers from the four corners of the world to its pristine four-kilometer stretch of white beach, considered one of the top 50 beaches in the world by CNN. For those with an adventurous streak, Bulabog Beach on the ‘wilder side’ of the island is one of the top windsurfing spots in Asia. Kalibo International Airport is an hour and 30 minutes by bus from Boracay.
